What We Do
Making sure every child is celebrated
We work with agencies and charities to find children in the Waikato who may be experiencing hardship, neglect, abuse, serious illness or family violence.
The Cake Detective then produces professional quality birthday cakes tailored just for them, so they still feel special and loved on their birthday.

How It Works
Closing the case on missing cakes
1
A child going through hardship
(e.g., illness, poverty, domestic violence) has a birthday coming up
2
A referring agency (or Social Worker, Nurse, Caregiver, Teacher) completes a form on our website with all the info we need including the cake theme and flavour
3
We confirm the cake and it goes into our system
4
The Cake Detectives design and plan the cake
5
The cake is decorated at our kitchen (Sweetpea Parties) and is all boxed up ready to go
6
Collection information is sent to the agency or recipient
7
The cake is collected from the kitchen and includes candles to be blown out
8
The cake is received by tamariki and they celebrate their special day with their whanau
